ACTFL has teamed up with colleges and universities to offer online courses.

波士顿大学 Wheelock Graduate Degrees

波士顿大学

波士顿大学 Wheelock has partnered with ACTFL to support students who are pursuing graduate degrees in World Language/Modern Foreign Language Education.

ACTFL members receive an automatic 33% scholarship for part-time enrollment in the EdM in World Language Education (on-campus or online) or the MAT in Modern Foreign Language Education (校园).

The application fee for these programs is also waived for ACTFL members. To request an application fee waiver, please email whegrad@bu.edu with your CAS ID number, which is generated after you begin your application and is found in the top right-hand corner of the application system.

康科迪亚大学 M.ED. in World Language Instruction

肯考迪娅大学毕业生 & 继续研究

康科迪亚大学 now offers ACTFL members 10% off their M.Ed. in World Language Instruction program. The part-time program is designed for full-time working professionals and offers a pathway to licensure. It is predominantly an online program with a very unique aspect of 10 days spent in Bemidji with site visits to Concordia Language Villages.

The partnership will allow ACTFL and 康科迪亚大学 to more closely collaborate on curriculum, 嘉宾主持人, and licensure issues. To qualify you will need a Bachelor's Degree with a GPA of 3.0 or better (official transcripts), 3 recommendations, a CV, and an application essay. Everything is done on GradCAS, which makes the process really easy.

Weber State Online Methods Course

Weber State University

ACTFL and Weber State University (Ogden, UT) have developed an Online teaching methods course that reflects state-of-the-art research and practice in language education. This course is offered through WSU Online. For information concerning registration or to see an outline and syllabus, go to: http://weber.edu/ForeignLanguages/online-course.html.

Several audiences have been identified for this course:

  • 本科, pre-service foreign language teachers who do not have access to a foreign language teaching methods course at a time or place convenient to them.
  • Teachers holding a Bachelor’s degree who are seeking endorsement or meeting certification requirements and do not have access to a foreign language teaching methods course at a time or place convenient to them.

Both undergraduate and graduate credit is available through Weber State University.

Individuals may enroll independently and receive credit from WSU, which can be transferred to their own institutions.
